I have an Infrared dongle for the USB port. No drivers are installed.
Windows XP detects it as an IrDA device and it starts doing stuff via
IrObex.

I wish to do raw infrared, meaning, I don't wish IrObex, IrComm and other
protocols. Just transparent serial communications.

For this, I also want a virtual COM port, so I can communicate with it as if
it were a regular rs232 port instead of usb device.

Can someone tell me if this is possible and give me references where I can
find more info?
